Question ID: 341609
What are the main differences between the call centre system "Symposium" and
"Aspect" in basic terms. For example why would my business benefit from
having one over the other. We currently have Symposium but I have
heard that senior management are thinking about bringing in Aspect.

I would like to know this as soon as possible because I have been
given some work to do on this shortly at work, to complete! I have
worked with symposium for many years but no nothing about aspect.

I read the guidelines for the fee for the question, if I haven't
positioned it right apologies please let me know.

I am looking for a basic answer so I can speak about it like I have
some understanding!! many thanks.

Annie,

Unfortunately, most of the information out there on these two systems
is the information put out by the companies themselves, or that
information repeated by industry publications which will not compare
products or say anything negative about a product, because they can't
afford to make a company angry and lose their advertising revenue.

A knowledgeable, **objective** in-depth comparison of two call center
systems is the kind of thing a company will pay a consultant several
hundred dollars for when they are making a decision which to purchase,
and such a study will take anywhere from several hours to many hours
to produce.

I suspect that this is why no one has posted an Answer to your Question.

I have been able to find some detailed information about the
functionality of Aspect (and about Symposium as well). If you know
Symposium well, you should be able to read the information and compare
the two. Bear in mind that this will involve some effort on your part
-- perhaps even considerable effort. However, having done this, you
would certainly be in a position to speak knowledgeably about both
systems.

If you would be willing to accept my links to the detailed information
on these systems as an Answer, please post a Clarification here
stating that, and I will be glad to provide them as an Answer.

Regards,

Symposium is less expensive compared to Aspect. Feature-wise, Aspect
has many advantages, but I am not sure whether it priced
commensurately. I guess it all depends on what type and complexity of
call center services that are being provided.

Aspect is definitely top-of-the-line CRM, and could potentially cost
upwards of USD 2000/seat.

Hope this helps.
