O, Mighty Hailstorm, (arguably) the Most Talented of all the Researchers.

I have a completely novel Challenge that has been purpose-designed for
you and this is it:

Recommend one penny stock on the OTC that will go up
at least 100% within a week after you post your answer.

If the ask price on your stock goes up at least 100% over the bid
price on the day of your answer within a week, you get a five star
ranking, a generous tip, and the admiration of everyone in the
GaGaGalaxy.

If the ask is at least 50% higher at any time during the week, or the
ask price is at least the same as the starting bid price on the close
of the day of your answer after one full week (ie, you haven't lost
any money at the end of the week), you still get a five star rating
for effort.

Any other result gets you a one star, and by golly you'll like it!

Oh, and no requests for clarification if you please. You either get it
or you don't.

Well, I can't be any fairer than that, can I?

NOW, Go For It!

And Good Luck!

(Or is it only skill that's needed?)

Well, let me preface this by saying that I don't believe that shooting
for the stars with penny stocks is the right way to go about
investing. The only real money I've made in the stock market is
investing for the long haul. However, I don't back down when called
out, so I'll give it a shot.

PACEL CORP (OTC BB:PCCL.OB)
http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=PCCL.OB

Close of business May 6th Ask Price: 0.025

This is one of those companies that is affectionately known as a "POS"
(I'll leave it as an exercise to the reader to expand that acronym)
It has changed ticker symbols on numerous occasions (PACC, PCEL, etc)
Due to massive dilution and mismanagement, the stock has fallen from a
reverse split adjusted price of around $60,000.00 a share to below two
cents in recent days.

However, when this PR hit earlier today:
http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040506/clth067_1.html

The stock jumped almost 40% on the news of a new CEO.

Since these guys likely have to continue diluting their stock in order
to continue financing their business, I believe they will continue to
put out new PRs in an attempt to pump up their value. Likewise, other
unscrupulous money makers may try to "pump and dump" this stock in
order to make a quick buck.

While I have zero confidence in this as a long term investment (and
wish I'd picked it yesterday when it was still only 0.019), I'll go
out on a limb and say that this pig will rise to 0.05 at some time
within the next week...though even if it does that, it may still fall
below 0.025 again by May 13th.

(oh, in the question this is based on, I messed up and reverse the
order of the "bid" and "ask" price. Technically that would make it
easier for me, since the bid price is always lowers than the ask
price, but I will grade this against what I meant to say instead)

I sat thinking today ...

About You Know What ...

And so I did a check ...

Please, Hailstorm, Are my eyes deceiving me but has the Stock you
recommended gone up to $80 or not?

Clarification of Answer by hailstorm-ga on 04 Jun 2004 05:03 PDT
Sadly, your eyes are indeed deceiving you. The stock is currently
worth 8/10ths of a cent.

I did get a double this week, but on a different stock:
http://finance.yahoo.com/q/bc?s=CMKX.PK

Bought in for two hundredths of a cent per share on Thursday. On
Friday it was up to four hundredths of a cent!

Lots of rabid fans on this stock seem to think it will go much higher soon:
http://ragingbull.lycos.com/mboard/boards.cgi?board=CMKX
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/board.asp?board_id=1561

However, it is a pink sheet stock that doesn't report its financials
and has changed ticker symbols three times in three years. So the
only factors pushing it now are rumor and hype. Definately not a
stock for the faint of heart.

Wow, Hailstorm!

I always had faith in you.

Through rain or shine.

I shall now watch the new entry with great interest.

CMKX just traded at eight hundreths of a cent! So I got the question
right on the second try.

Reagan's funeral)

Well?

Have you made your pile?

Or lost it?

Clarification of Answer by hailstorm-ga on 17 Aug 2004 18:16 PDT
PCCL is now trading at 0.0006 a share, down over 95% from the 0.025
price I recommended.

After briefly rising to 0.0012, CMKX has remained in a holding pattern
at 0.0004 for a while now (the level where I said to buy in two and a
half months back)

Neither poor nor rich yet. Just waiting...

Hi, Haily

Penny Shares again, I suppose?
probonopublico-ga rated this answer:5 out of 5 stars and gave an additional tip of: $5.00
I knew it! I knew it!

That I was going to be publicly humiliated and you have obliged.

It was a truly excellent Answer.

Now, let's see what happens!
