I would like to know the name and artist of a song with the following
lyrics (and some of them may be incorrect- but I'm doing my best to
recall the radio version)
"oooh wee- ride me high, tomorrow's the day that the ____'s gonna
come...oh lord, we gonna fly, down in my easy chair"....that's all I
can remember...it has a grateful dead/allman brother's type sound to
it also. Thanks!

Your song is Bob Dylan's "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere." Dylan has
performed several different versions of the song, and there have been
dozens of cover versions by artists as diverse as the Byrds, Nitty
Gritty Dirt Band, and Mary Chapin Carpenter.

Here's a verse from the song:

"I don't care
 How many letters they sent
 Morning came and morning went
 Pick up your money
 And pack up your tent
 You ain't goin' nowhere
 Whoo-ee! Ride me high
 Tomorrow's the day
 My bride's gonna come
Oh, oh, are we gonna fly
 Down in the easy chair!"

A long list of artists who have covered the song may be found on the
lower half of this page:

Google search strategy:

Google Web Search: "dylan" + "ain't goin' nowhere" + "easy chair"

I hope this helps! I know how frustrating it can be to have a fragment
of a song stuck in your head and not be able to identify it. If
anything is unclear, please request clarification; I'll be glad to
offer further assistance before you rate my answer.

Best wishes,

In case you're interested, here is a rather nice recording of the song
(by a band called "Stone-Fish":
