Does anybody know if there is a way to retrieve stats about how many
users have made a search on a particular topic on one or more
particular search engine?

For example, I want to know how many people have made a search on
google.com about "karaoke" or "American Idol" or "ethernet" for
example?

I know you can get a list of the top items searched on Yahoo! for
example but it does not provide detailed stats about a topic you can
choose.
