Howdy sherman32540-ga,

As nothing disastrous happened to Bill "Monbo" Monbouquette in 1962, such as
the end of his professional pitching career, which happened in 1969, I am sure
that you are asking "Where is he now?" with your Question.

Bill Monbouquette is the pitching coach for the Class A (short season) team
associated with the Detroit Tigers, the appropriately named Oneonta Tigers,
also known as the O-Tigers.

"By the end of the month, the Oneonta Tigers should have a new manager,
according to owner Sam Nader.
...
Nader said he was confident that pitching coach Bill Monbouquette will return
for his fifth season as the O-Tigers' pitching coach."

More on the Oneonta Tigers can be found on the official web site of Minor
League Baseball.

" ...
Manager: Randy Ready
Hitting Coach: TBA
Pitching Coach: Bill Monbouquette
..."

He is also the Director of the pitching clinic for the Cooperstown Diamonds
National Youth Baseball Center.

"Bill Monbouquette made his Major League pitching debut with the Boston Red
Sox on July 18, 1958, and over the next 8 years he won 96 games for the Sox,
including 20 games in 1963. Monbo pitched a no-hitter against the Chicago
White Sox on August 1st 1962, and was a member of the American League All Star
teams of 1960,'62 and '63. Monbo also pitched two years for the Detroit Tigers
and New York Yankees. After retiring from baseball Monbo was a pitching coach
for several Major League teams, he returned to baseball to assume the duties
of a pitching coach for the Oneonta Tigers of the Detroit Tiger System, of the
NY Penn League."

All-Star Bill Monbouquette was coach for New York Mets from 1982 to 1983.

Monbo was the Syracuse Chiefs pitching coach, at least in 1996 and 1997.

At some point, he was the pitching coach for the Southern League (AA)
Knoxville Smokies, possibly in 1998 or 1999.

Here is a 2001 picture of the pitcher.

By the way, 1962 was a good year for William Charles Monbouquette, as he
pitched a no-hitter that year. Strangely, it was the Sox vs. the Sox.

"Red Sox Bill Monbouquette no-hits White Sox 1-0"

If you need any clarification, feel free to ask.
