My question is this , I had a radical cystectomy last May 2003, have
gone thru radiation and chemo, I am leaking(gushing) clear foul
smelling fluid ,and my doctors don't seem to be worried, this is the
worst part of everything I have gone thru so far! This problem is
causing me to be a prisioner in my home, because I never know when
this will happen, please if you have any idea as to what this could be
, it would help me so much.

this.I had (last tuesday) a fever and the oncol put me on a new
antibodic, which is working on the fever and I feel better, but this

Is the foul-smelling fluid coming out through the stoma? Have your
physicians taken a culture of the fluid?

My first question is where are you leaking from? I assume you are
leaking from urethrea. If that is the case, and given the history of
radiation treatment to your pelvis, I would be concerned for possible
fistula formation between your ureter and large intestine. If fistula
is indeed high on suspicion list, then a study by radiology where they
inject dye retrograde through the urethra and then take pictures
should address the issue.
