Dear ghantapa: Thank you for your question. I have found four high resolution colour pictures of a monarch butterful. In the future, you may want to use Google Image Search (http://images.google.com) to find images. #1: http://www.nhnature.org/images/monarch%20butterfly.jpg #2: http://stephenville.tamu.edu/~fmitchel/insects/Butterfly/monarc_2.jpg #3: http://www.friend4free.com/butter/monarchonsatinbg.gif #4: http://www.wonderclub.com/Wildlife/insectsandspiders/Butterfly%203.jpg Google Search Strategy: monarch butterfly http://images.google.com/images?as_q=monarch+butterfly&svnum=10&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF8&safe=off&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&imgsz=xxlarge&as_filetype=&imgc=&as_sitesearch=&safe=off I hope this was the information you were looking for! If you need any clarifications, please don't hesitate to ask. I would be more than happy to assist you further. Best Regards, blader-ga | |

Perfect answer - I had been trawling through google image search with same search criteria myself but had not come across an image with high res as #2. nice one :-) well worth the $3 in time + effort saved. Thank you. All the best Ghantapa |

Picture #1 is not a monarch. I could tell this from personal experience, but if you compare it to the other images you will realize that it is not the same. Also, blader-ga, I think you should have mentioned that there are a number of other quality image search tools, such as AltaVista, AllTheWeb, and Ditto. |

Dear cheese-ga: Thank you for clearing that up. Could have fooled me, I don't know much about butterflies. =) Agreed, there certainly are many other image search tools. But from personal experience, the best one would have to be Google's, so I didn't feel a need to mention anything else. Both in terms of search relevance and ease of use. It's also the one I used to answer this question. Best Regards, blader-ga |
