Usually, a shell comes with an operating system. What operating
system do you want to use with the shell? Could you explain more
about what you are looking for?

Shell is a enviroment in which you can execute any program on that
system. Each Operating System (Windows, Unix etc) has a Shell
provided.

For example: In windows, go to Start (Bottom left of the windows
Screen) and click run. This is the place from where you execute a
program. (like 'notepad' to open Note Pad, 'winword' to open Ms Word,
'iexplore' to open Internet Explorer')

To Access Unix Shell, visit this page:

In Security terms, "getting Shell" of some other pc is refered to as a
full System compromise of others pc. you can execute any thing on
that. In Windows you can read DCOM Exploit for a "Shell ompromise" and
tool "remoexec".
