Are there any studies that cite the various costs associated with a
health care claim, on both the payers and providers side? This should
include costs associated with denials, appeals, hours and staffing
involved with customer service depts., collection, billing and
follow-up. Would also like to know the percentage of claims that are
paid on a "first pass" basis, vs. the percentage that are initialy
denied.
