I'd like to know the laws and regulations regarding foreign ownership
of real estate in China.
I am an American citizen and I would like to find out the details of
whether or not I can purchase a condominium in Chengdu, Sichuan
province. Whether I hold the title in my own name or in the name of a
corporate entity that I create and control is not important, but give
details regarding this. I'd also like to be made aware of the
regulations regarding
property taxes, capital gains taxes on the sale of the real estate,
and regulations concerning my ability to move the proceeds of a sale
out of China.
