Dear Jplay,

Mesotherapy uses a different method of administration of medications.
Near-painless injections of medications and natural substances are
injected between 1mm and 4mm deep inside the skin.

Since the medications are injected very superficially, they disperse
very slowly and travel down to deeper tissues. This slow movement of
medicines causes restoring blood flow to the redundant circulation,
dissolving excess fat deposits, removing hardened connective tissue
and improved lymphatic function.

It is now considered part of mainstream medicine in some countries,
especially France that has over practicing 16,000 mesotherapy doctors.
It is mostly used for treatment for female hair loss, ageing effects
and cellulite. Many doctors say that it is quite safe. It is known to
make a difference in the short-term. Experts dispute over its the
long-term effectiveness.

However, there have been some reports of patients getting side effects
after mesotherapy treatments. These are mostly associated with the use
of unlicensed products by unlicensed practitioners. Like all medical
treatments, one should only get the treatment done from a licensed
doctor using FDA approved drugs.
