I am researching how health care delivery is organized and financed in
urban Mainland China. Health care delivery refers to the providers of
health care in a broad sense (hospitals, doctors, pharmaceutical
manufacturers, medical device manufacturers etc). Financing refers to
the payment arrangements commerical or government insurers pay for
health care services.
I am only interested in urban health care, not rural, though inclusion
of this information is OK.
Data or reports referenced need to be at least after 2001 to be
useful. The more recent the better.
Aspects of the answer need to answer or refer me to reports that
answer the following questions:
1. How are hospitals organized and structured? ($30)
2. How are physicians organized, licensed and structured? (($20)
3 How are pharmaceuticals accessed and priced? ($10)
4 How are medical devices sold and priced? ($10)
5. How are advanced radiology services (eg CT scans, MRI scans)
accessed and purchased? ($10)
6. What are cost trends for each of the above categories? ($20)
7. What sort of financing arrangements do health care providers
consider or have used in China? (by this I am referring to techniques
that US HMOs may use, such as case rate payment, capitation,
development or use of fee schedules, risk pooling etc) ($50)
Strongly preferred is if you can identify reports (e.g. from
consultancy organizations like McKinsey, BCG, Genesis) that contain
summary reports. I have already checked out the World Bank and WHO
sites but can't find anything that meets my needs.
I will give a $25 bonus for a really thorough answer that is available
before Monday 8AM US EST May 10. |
