I'm looking for some UNICEF "Uniworld" toys from the early 1970's (1972, I believe). There were at least four sets, including the Uniworld Japanese Home, Uniworld English Castle, Uniworld Eskimo Igloo, and Uniworld Spanish Hacienda. (There may have been a fifth set, representing an African family.) Each set included a house and cloth dolls representing a mother, father, and children. These family pieces were very small (1 - 1 1/2 inch) beanbags covered in polyester fabric. The faces and clothing details were printed on the fabric. I believe the houses were dome-shaped, and each house may have had a handle on top. I regularly check eBay for these toys, searching under Unicef and Uniworld, but nothing has come up yet. Has anyone seen these toys for sale, and if so, where? Although ideas for searches are welcome, to answer the question I need an actual sighting of at least one of the sets which is available for purchase. Thanks, Carl |
