I am looking for good place that offers lessons for horseback riding for my
two daughters (age 5 and 10) in the Eastside area of Seattle (Bellevue,
Kirkland, Issaquah, Redmond).

Please do not send general stable information, or places that are not in
Eastside.

Hello Carefully,

Thanks for your question!

I have searched for horseback riding lessons in the Eastside area of
Seattle and have unfortunately only come up with one:

Tiger Mountain Outfitters
Gary & Linda Schuler
24508 SE 133rd, Issaquah, WA, 98027
(425) 392-5090

They were listed on the Washington Outfitters Guides Association page
http://www.woga.org/Default.htm
where the description read:
"Guided trail rides on Tiger Mountain State Forest. Open year round.
Instruction and boarding available. Mastercard and Visa accepted."

The same location was found in the Issaquah Press' Business Directory
under "Horseback Riding."
http://www.isspress.com/isspress/direct.htm

I also searched the Yellow Pages for Bellevue, Kirkland, Issaquah, and
Redmond to no avail.

If you decide you need to look outside of the Eastside these sites may
help:
A Guide to Horseback Riding in Washington with a section for instruction
http://www.horserentals.com/washington.html

And this article from Digital City Seattle on horseback riding in the Seattle
area:
http://www.digitalcity.com/seattle/entertainment/article.adp?aid=1649&
start=10

I hope this helps, best of luck
jdl

Thanks for your efforts. I have found the same info through Google
myself.

Gary & Linda Schuler do not accept children in their trail ride, and
do not offer any lessons.

The other answers were interesting, but did not answer my question.

Hi again Carefully,
I apologize for not finding more places for horseback riding lessons.

Since you wrote again I took another stab and searched in different
ways, ie I performed searches on the stable names I had found.

I came up with this:
Cedar Grove Equestrian Center
20601 Ne 120th
REDMOND WA
(425) 881-1669

which I saw referenced on a Seattle school silent auction site
http://www.seattleschools.org/schools/pathfinder/auction/silent3.htm
in which they offered horseback riding lessons from one of their
teachers. Unfortunately in the description it states minimum age is 6
yrs old.

I also found on this site:
http://members.aol.com/jeakel1/smokey.htm
which is posted essays from an essay contest to win a horse.
One of the children who wrote is a 7 yr old girl who mentioned taking
horseback riding lessons here:
Parkside Stables
13020 Ne 39th
BELLEVUE WA
(425) 885-5025

I apologize again for not finding these the first time!

Thanks for your patience + best of luck,
jdl
