carlhollywood --
I am sorry to have to report that Ms. Zhelutka is not currently
engaged in broadcasting. Below is the substance of an email I
received from the producer of her signature broadcast, "Music of the
Spheres." Per Google Answers policy, I have omitted a little personal
information (none of which is relevant to your question):
"[I am the] producer of Music of the Spheres,(music of Medieval,
Rennaisance and Baroque times) hosted by Mara Zhelutka, which aired on
NPR affiliate KCRW Sundays, 6-8 am from 1990 to 2000. From 1998 to
2001, Mara was the host of Mara's Muses and Afternoon Classical on Cal
State Northridge's KCSN. Since that time, she's been pursuing her
life-long dream of becoming a music librarian and has recently been
accepted into [a library studies graduate progam]. Plans to return to
radio are currently on hold."
Search Strategy:
I used the following Google Search to look for current information on
Ms. Zhelutka:
zhelutka 2004
://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&q=zhelutka+2004
This did not lead to directly to an answer, but it led me to the
KCSN-FM Web site, where I found contact information for what turned
out to be the right source for the information.
This was not the information you are hoping for, but I assume that you
would would rather know the truth that be forever in the dark.
Besides, it sounds like she may be back on the radio at some point.
