What I now need to do is to create a Windows XP (Home Edition) startup
disk, to run the Recovery Console. How can I do this? All the other
computers I come in contact with connot create a startup disk that
recognises the C:\ drive !! - they are XP professional edition.

Well, I have just got myself a six-disk floppy startup set. I followed
all the instructions, and my systm is now up and running.

Thank you livioflores-ga for the help. I am a windows 9x tweak freak
and this was my first nasty experience with Win XP.
