Hi kimiekimbow,
WMP9 Importer is not adware. It's Windows Media Player 9 Importer
which enables you to convert WinAmp Skins into Windows Media Player
Skins. Skins are used to give the desktop application a custom look
and feel.

"A part of the free Windows Media Bonus Pack for Windows XP, the
Windows Media Player Skin importer enables you to convert WinAmp skins
into Windows Media Player skins. For better conversion results,
download the Winamp 2.x Base Skin (Baseskin.zip) from the Winamp Web
site (http://www.winamp.com). Place the Baseskin.zip file either in
your Winamp skins directory or in the same directory as the skins to
convert. If a skin is missing files, Wa2WMP will retrieve those files
from the Baseskin.zip file. To convert a single skin Right-click on a
Winamp skin file (with a .wsz file name extension), and then click
Convert to Windows Media Player Skin. The skin is converted and a
Windows Media Player compatible skin is created in the same directory.
To convert multiple skins Run Wa2wmp.exe. Choose a location from which
to import all of the files with .wsz and .zip file name extensions."

Internet Marketing & Advertising Glossary
http://www.thevisible.net/marketing-glossary.html
"Skins are colorful, customized and interchangeable sets of graphics,
which allow Internet users to continually change the look of their
desktops or browsers, without changing their settings or
functionality. Skinnable applications are growing in popularity and
available through a variety of Web tools, including ICQ, RealNetworks
and NeoPlanet.Skins are becoming a valuable marketing tool to reach
new audiences because, unlike rich media banners, they can be
implemented easily and at a lower cost. In addition, skins are tiny
files that are easy to download or email, hence, popular skins spread
rapidly through the Net. Several companies already use skins to market
to their target audiences, including New Line Cinema, which joined
with NeoPlanet to create a "Dr. Evil" skin to help promote the latest
Austin Powers movie. For a collection of more than 4,000 skins ready
