I am trying to identify a company mentioned on page 61 of the 2004
edition of Venture Capital Investing by David and Laura Gladstone. It
is called G.A. Smart & Company and is apparently based in Chicago. The
book gives the name of the owner as Goff Smart and says he created the
company after doing his doctoral dissertation on the use of
psychological tests by VC companies. My web searches, however, have
failed to identify any contact details for this company. Perhaps it
will be more obvious from the US how to track this firm down.

searching was a small typo: Actually, the name is "G. H. Smart &
Company", founded by Geoffrey "Geoff" Smart, Chairman & CEO.

There can be no doubt that it is the correct company and the correct
Geoff Smart. On the website, there is an abstract of his dissertation
and a study that was part of the same available; both deal with the
issues you mentioned.
