Question ID: 344468
Where can I find a list of the top 50,000 searches on the internet.
The top 10 or even top 1000 searches does me no good. I know the data
is out there, who is hoarding it and where can I get it?

just to clarify, it can be the top 50,000 search queries from any of
the major search engines from a recent time period - or it can be some
sort of compiled list. I am simply looking for trends and specific
markets for more than just the top few searches which is all the major
search engines seem to be willing to share.

Hello lilsharky,

Actually, shakibgd-ga in the comment below, did point out a resource
that might provide you what you need. They have a listing of the top
100,000 search terms!

They don't say much (that I could see) about how, precisely, they
arrived at such a list. But it is a HUGE list, just the same.

For instance, here are just a few of the listings in the 39,000 territory:

39981 Rac route planner
39982 Family court
39983 Demonstration
39984 Lobby
39985 Comm
39986 New guinea
39987 Accelerate
39988 Free satellite tv
39989 Bid for power

Why "new guinea" ranks ahead of "free satellite TV" is anyone's guess.

Anyway, I'd be glad to direct you to this database and give you some
hints as to how to best make use of it, if you think that would serve
as an answer to your question.

Note, however, that the list is presented 20 search terms at a time,
so you'd have to click through an AWFUL lot of pages to view all the
terms. It *is* possible to jump to deep spots in the list, though, as
shown by the terms I provided above.

There is also, at the same site, an offer to purchase a database of
the top 25,000 search terms provided as an Excel file.

Again, let me know if you think this information would be the answer
you are looking for.

Thanks.

Isn't that like asking for a list of the top 50,000 husbands and wives
on planet Earth? It seems to me there are many criteria and hardly two
persons would agree on the order of importance. Why would any
organization spend a million dollars making such a list, only to get
endless critisim from persons who thought some of the top
responces/querries were insuficently green, not politically correct,
too lacking in details, excessive detail, a spelling or grammer error
etc. I suggest you cancel this question, resubmit giving some guide
lines on what you consider top and some examples, and resubmit this
question worded differntly. You likely need to accept less than
50,000, as the researcher would need to supply you with 5000 links
that average 10 top threads/quries/answers.
Click on google answers home. Then click on complete list. This will
let you read several thousand questions, comments and answers. perhaps
600 of these were rated high by the researcher, the person giving a
generous tip, or some one who commented. If you agree then you have
perhaps 1% of the list of 50,000 top searches. www.abuzz.com also
has a large archive of threads that are rated sometimes, but about 99%
are poor or worse in my opinion. I am ccpoodle on abuzz, but I stopped
posting about 2 months ago. Neil
