My research shows that Meritage Rolling Hills Golf, LLC and Meritage
Homes are not connected in any way.
Meritage Homes is part of the publicly traded Meritage Corp (MTH).
I?ve included links to various resources that will give you detailed
information about the operations and divisions of this company so that
you can continue your investigations and dig as deeply as you like.
Meritage Rolling Hills Golf, LLC is registered in California. It is a
Delaware Corporation and it was formed by Robert Katherman to develop
a golf course in Palos Verdes at the site of a former sanitary
landfill. The project seems to be ready to roll after many years of
contentious community opposition. Katherman?s main business is The
Katherman Company, a lobbying organization. In addition to working as
a lobbyist, he is also active and serves on the board of directors of
various foundations and community organizations.

New public course on Palos Verdes Peninsula
Johnny Miller Design has been chosen to design a new Meritage Rolling
Hills Golf, LLC layout on top of the closed Palos Verdes landfill.
If this project happens it will be the first golf course owned by the
public to be built in Los Angeles since 1977. It will fall under the
Los Angeles Parks and Recreation Department.
The Environmental Protection Agency in California has given the
go-ahead, but the usual opposition for golf course construction in
California is coming from the South Bay Cares organization.
