What is the fastest way to find a "qualified researcher" and (if
possible)who is the "best" "qualified researcher" to "research" a
legal issue for me? (words in quotes defined as follows)
"Best" = available to do research starting soon or at least within
the next five days; not too expensive (but since I don't know how much
they cost I will need a suggestion on the fee to pay or a listing of
the researcher's prices); fluent in the english language; qualifiable
over the phone and internet (see qualified definition below);
"fastest" = I want to find this researcher by Friday of this
week; "qualified researcher" = I want to be able to assess the
researchers skills before they are hired either by a resume, a talk on
the phone, a listing of qualifications, or a reference. The skills I
will be looking for are: someone who has researched legal
issues before and knows how to access cases, laws, law journals, and
other relevant materials; who can read articles, and make summaries of
the pertinet points, and be able to decide if an article or case
summary is relevant to the research decision; someone who has done
hypothesis driven research where we define some hypotheses and then
set about proving or disproving them with facts; someone who can track
down phone numbers of lawyers mentioned in articles; |

Why look any further than here at Google Answers?
Many of the researchers here have answered in-depth legal research
questions. You can see quite a few of them (some answered by me, some
by other researchers) at:
http://answers.google.com/answers/search?q=pafalafa+OR+expertlaw+OR+tutuzdad&qtype=answered&btnG=Google+Search&catid=1604&num=100
In general, you can expect fast service at a price you set, and get
answers from highly-qualified, highly-expert researchers.
Will this work for you?

I would like to use one person to answer several questions over an
unknown period of time, maybe a month or so, and not have to go back
to google everytime i have a question. I want to hire the same
researcher every time, and I want to be able to email documents back
and forth, and make the occasional phone call to talk. Would you be
interested in such an arrangement, thanks for the link to your work, I
had no idea how to access that before, and your answers looked good.

Thanks for the invite, but I'm afraid the rules of the road at Google
Answers prohibit any direct communications between researchers and
customers. NO emails, no phone calls -- all communications occur by
posting information right here.
You can, however, post questions that request the assistance of a
particular researcher, if you so desire. Simply put "ATTN:
[researcher's name]" in the subject field of the question. This way,
you can request the same researcher over and over, if you want to.
I'll give your original question a bit more thought -- and other
researchers may do the same -- and we'll get back to you if we have
any good advice on how you can best link up with well-qualified non-GA
researchers.

Have you considered looking for a local independent paralegal?
Some are excellent at doing precisely what you ask, including reducing
it to an intelligent, comprehensive analysis relative to your
hypotheses - and most independents have enough experience under their
belts that they have access to, and know precisely where to find the
information you need.
Just another resource to consider.
