I would like to know what the exact law is regarding the requirements for license plate decals in the state of NJ. These decals come with your renewed registration every year (each year the decals have a differnt color) -through the DMV & instructions say to apply them to your license plates. What is the exact law & what are the requirements? Can you legally be fined for not having them displayed on your license plates & if so what would be the citation or is it not legally required by law? Please let me know if you want clarification. |

Good question. I just got a summon for the expired license plates decals ( I probably threw mine away). I would like very much to know the law around this subject. |

I know - but no one has attempted to answer my question. I just upped the price to $20 - maybe that'll get someone to help? |
