Hi Jennifer, You'll want to contact the copyright holders of the materials in question. For The Bionic Woman, that would be: * Harve Bennett Productions * Universal TV [us] http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0073965/companycredits The contact information is: Harve Bennett Productions 11766 Wilshire Blvd., Ste. 1610 Los Angeles, CA 90025 USA Tel: 310-306-7198, Fax: 310-306-7598 For Universal TV, you need to send e-mail via this form: http://www.universalstudios.com/homepage/html/contact_us/contact_form.cgi?email_id=11 For the contact information for the copyright holders of other material, check with the Internet Movie Database: IMDB http://www.imdb.com Searching on the name of the show or movie will give you the name of the production company. From there you'll have to find the contact information for the company, either through a Google search on the company name, or through IMDB Pro (which is currently offering a 14 day free trial). For music, contact the appropriate studio. Good luck! --Missy Search terms: [ bionic woman at IMDB Pro ] |

You could also find out who (i.e., what firm) is hosting the web site, and report the violation to them. I have checked on a few such sites, and in every case I know of, the hosting company has Terms of Service that prohibit such pirating. The above would not apply if the site were based on, say, a third-world country, but I would expect most hosting firms in Canada to be conscientious about watching out for violations of international copyright law. Clarification: I don't mean to contradict missy-ga, and I certainly agree that contacting the copyright owner is appropriate. I just think contacting the hosting firm, perhaps anonymously if you are concerned about any possibility of retribution, would also be in order, and might produce results quite quickly. If you are interested in this idea, let me know and we can work on it. But I would certainly understand if you don't want to discuss it further. |
