I'd like to find a great deal on both airfare and hotel to Vegas,
arriving June 3 (preferably in time for dinner), departing June 6
preferably NOT the red eye flight, but something mid-morning or
after). Six to eight adults, 2 per hotel room, and/or 4 people per
one comfortable suite, or perhaps a big condo or two. I'm interested
in deals significantly better than anyone could find after ten minutes
surfing.
I am going with friends, and we'd like to be in or very close to the
action - clubs, restaurants, casinos, fun stuff. And we'd love to
find a great deal. I don't know if the strip, or right by the strip,
would be the place, but that would be my guess. Or what would anyone
else suggest to accomplish the above
objective? Thanks! John
  SOMEBODY MAKE MY DAY! THANKS!

Greetings, jred!

Your fiancée is very fortunate to have found a great guy who is
willing to be an equal partner in the planning and execution of all
the wedding details!

It would be helpful if you could specify your departure city for the
trip to Las Vegas.

Thanks,

ace

jred,

We need the city you want to depart from, before we can assist you....
Help us "make your day" by selecting to CLARIFY your question.

I lived in Las Vegas for 6 years and can help, as can any of the
researchers here, but the best deals almost always include airfare
along with the hotel, therefore we REALLY need to know your city of
origin...

How kind you are! And it is fate that my new favorite researcher -
Cynthia - is already very familiar with Vegas.

DEPARTURE CITY IS (drum roll ...) NEW ORLEANS!

I anxiously await your reply. Note that any 21-advance purchase deals
must be purchased perhaps today or tomorrow (5-14).

jred, I also need answers to these questions:

1) Any seniors? I assume no children.
2) Return date? In the meantime I am assuming Saturday the 12th, in
time for the next work week...
3) Need a car, or 2?
4) Do you have a target price or budget?

Also, the best deals in Las Vegas are usually near Fremont Street.
This is way at the north end of the strip. The hotels are older, and
you'd be about 10 minutes from the main action, by car or taxi. You
would be very near the Fremont Street Experience, very very cool, but
you might prefer to pay a bit more to be on the strip.

Also, there are nice hotels off the strip, Arizona Charlie's, the
Palace Sation, and Sam's Town, my favorite... These are newer hotels
like those on the strip, but a couple miles from the action.

Let me know your thoughts.

You can answer these questions while it is locked...

jred,

I caught my mistake on the dates. You want to leave arrive in LV
mid-day on the 3rd, and leave to go home on the 6th, not the red-eye.
I 'll post back very soon with some examples of packages, and I await
your reply to my other questions.

So far, it's looking like 2 per room is more feasable than a condo.

So far, the lowest prices I can find are below. They include airfare
and hotel, 2 per room, from June 3rd through the 6th. Unless you want
to travel out of the city, you really don't *need* a car while
visiting Las Vegas...

In old Las Vegas, downtown, near the Fremont street Experience:
$384.00 per person.

Off the strip, but very close to the action: $426.00 per person.

On the strip, in a great hotel, but not 5 star: $480.00 to $680.00
(There are several. I recommend all of them.

Do any of these interest you? If so, post back and I will give you more details.

To clarify - this is a bachelor party week-end - all guys. We want to
have FUN, staying in or very close to the action (casinos, clubs,
restaurants, etc.) and have as little aggravation as possible. AND we
want a great deal.

2 guys to any room (2 beds, ideally), and/or a condo, villa, suite,
etc. that would hold a few or all of us would be great.

I've been swamped all day, so have not really had great opportunity to
look at your last answer, but it did look very good.

Please see what else you can do/find along above parameters. THANKS!!!

Clarification of Question by jred-ga on 13 May 2004 16:08 PDT
More clarification: We are not all coming from New Orleans, but maybe
4 to 6 of us for sure. I'm affraid some may have to leave N.O. late
in the day on June 3, or early on June 4. I want to leave mid-a.m. or
early afternoon, and I think several others will too, so we can have a
(late?) dinner and then go party. Some may want a return flight early
on June 6 (e.g., 6:30 am. flight), but I and others will probably
prefer to leave late morning or in the afternoon.

Can we have a contingency for others not coming from N.O. (one who may
come from Chicago, Thur or Fri to Sun); another from San Francisco may
be driving (?), one or two others? They will need to stay with/very
near us (same hotel, condos, etc., ideally). Ideally, we could
"supersize" whatever accomodations that come in the packages w/ air,
paying extra for that, and fit all.

I just got in mail today 3 of those "Entertainment 2004" coupon
books (prevalent in all big cities), but haven't had a chance to study
it. Tell me if you know there are hotel coupons in there (some may
say 50%) that we could use.

We do NOT need rental cars (I'm pretty sure), but include what info you have.

Please WORK YOUR MAGIC and give me a bunch of available options
allowing that flexibility for this disorganized group, and you will
have not only my gratitude, but I intend on sending you (if I may) -
perhaps via Google - FIFTY MORE DOLLARS. I hope its worth it to you
for all of this aggravation.

Thanks!!!

jred,

Thanks for the additional information. Knowing it's a bachelor party
is important. I need to know your budget. There are several hotels
that have bachelor party packages. If you can afford it, it might be
more fun to get the airfare and hotel separately. For instance,
Bally's and the Hard Rock, and a couple others have bachelor party
suites. They are not cheap, but split 5 or more ways it is
affordable.

I checked on the difference in price between 21 day advance and 14 day
advance flights, the difference is very small. There is time.

I need to know when you can be online so we can interact here. I have
many of the links you need to make this a fun event all ready to post,
but I want to be sure you understand that I will continue to work with
you until you are happy with my results. Even when I post the
"Answer" --you and I can continue to interact to fine tune the
results.

I am going to my "day job" in 90 minutes, and will be able to pick
this up again between midnight and 1am PST. I assume you will be
asleep then. I will check to see if you have answered any of my
questions.

I work tomorrow from 1pm to 8pm, and after that, I will have over 24
hours in which to assist you.

I have some ideas I would like to run by you. For instance, with a
group, especially a bachelor party, it's very cost effective to rent a
Limo for part of your travels. I can provide a list of Limo
Companies, but I cannot reserve the Limo for you. Also, do you want
to go to a "Gentleman's Club" on your trip?

I want to find the right combination of airfare and hotel so you will
be close to what you want to do, possibly in a bachelor party suite,
and yet have it still be in your budget.

I need to know how many people. Can you call your friends and try to
firm things up? At least give me a firm number. The party suites
have limits as to how many people can stay in one room. Can you
possibly try to narrow that down for me? 5-6 people is a lot easier
to book. More than 6 and we're talking VIP rooms, a bit more pricey.

Sorry to be asking so many questions, but customer satisfaction is of
paramount importance, and you are contracting me to cut through the
red-tape of the Internet to plan a trip for you. I need your help...

Please carefully reread all my posts and answer as many of my
questions as you can, and together we'll make this a wonderful trip
for you and your friends.

Thanks!

jred,

I forgot to mention that the price difference between 21 day advance
and 14 day advance are in your favor (cheaper) by about 30 bucks. I
thought you might like to know that. We need to get busy though,
because I need to call the hotels and check the suites for you. No
time for email on those!

What a woman! I'm very impressed with your attitude and diligence.
You are going to help me put together something really awesome! I can
probably get online with you tomorrow around 11:30 am. my time, or
thereabouts, which is 9:30 or so your time (I think). Anyway I'll try
to be accessible around that time for an hour or 2.

MORE DETAILS FOR YOU: I'm fairly certain we are going to have 10 or
12 people, about 8 of which are going to need airfare from/to New
Orleans. I think at least 4 of those weight will be able to stick to
my planned itinerary (leave morning or mid-am on 6/3, return mid to
late a.m. or pm on 6/6.

Figure on about $800.00 budgeted for each person for air and hotel,
but if something really attractive (i.e., a VIP Suite) can be obtained
for just a few hundred more, perhaps I can just pitch that in.

As to Limo, etc., that's tempting, but I expect a lot more expensive
than a few cab rides (in 3 or 4 cabs) each night to different places.
But let me know.

Gentlemen's Clubs are most likely going to be an option, but, unless
you have some ideas on pre-planning that, I expect we'll just wing it.
Maybe you can tell me some that are known for being nice, and not a
rip-off joint.

I like the idea of a big VIP room, or maybe 2, also, but see how that
plays with air/hotel packages. And can we keep flexible enought to
accomodate 2 or 3 people who make their own airfare arrangements?

This is going to be fun! Talk to you tomorrow.

John

Morning jred,

I have the entire day set aside for you. I am online and want to
start giving you links of things to consider. I will make calls based
on your preferences to get prices and availability, then compare with
simple combined air & hotel packages.

Your budget will allow for you to select a suite for the entire group.
possibly even something fabulous and decadent.

The flights are the easy part.

I don't know you, and the other men going, and since this is a
bachelor party, well, some of the links might be suggestive in text.
Just a warning. This is Sin City we are talking about. Entertainment
capitol of the world. Consider yourself warned...! I don't know how
open minded your group is --can you give me some idea? I'm not
talking brothels, but certain clubs you may be interested in that I am
aware of and have personal experience with. ;-)

I'll keep refreshing the page so i know when you are ready...

jred,

I'm still here gathering links for you to peruse --to point me in the
rtight direction.

This is very, very fun for me. I saw your other [expired] question
that no one answered, thinking it must be fate, because I am the
perfect person to do this for you, for a couple reasons, trust that.

When I start giving you links, do you want me to put them in the
Answer box, or do you want to wait until you have made your
selections?

Also, I'll need to know the Airports the travelers will be leaving
from in San Francisco and Chicago, I think they both have more than
one.

I realize that you want the freedom to roam the city unhindered by an
itiniary, but I want to compile here for you (and others after you),
the best choices of activities for a memorable Las Vegas Bachelor
Party. You can pick and choose, or do none at all.

Anyway, I'm still hoping to connect with you this am.

I'm at my computer, and will be there, or nearby (in my office), for
the next couple of hours or so, so I'll be standing by.

Your enthusiasm is very appreciated, and I want a woman with spunk to
help lay out the options for me.

As for racy options while in Vegas, Bring 'em on! Because of the
"adult" nature of some of these options, I wonder if rather than post
those, you could email me (john@redmannlaw.com)? I'm not interested
in brothels, obviously, but nice strip clubs you can recommend, and
why, would be of interest.

John,

Posting your email address is a no-no here. We are not allowed to
contact clients outside the Google arena. If the editors see it, they
may remove the question. If so, just repost it and ask for me in the
subject line since I am waaay involved. You'd only be out 50 cents if
they do....

Really, the flight arrangements are simple. And the fares, as I said,
were less if you booked 14 or 15 days in advance, then for the 21 day
advance. As soon as you select flights or packages i have recommended
or found, be sure to purchase them immediately to be sure you don't
lose them.

Selection of your hotel accomodations will make all the difference in
your experience while in Las Vegas. I would like to start with your
first choices in my ideas, and see if those are feasable and available
on your dates, and work down from there, trying different combinations
to attain the best prices.

So, we start with the best. Click on the links briefly.

Look at these:

Most sites that talk about well funded bachelor parties in LV, say
close to the same thing, which is this:

Vegas Guide - Occasion: The Bachelor/Bachelorette Party

"Q: We want to have a wild time. Where should we stay?
A: Without a doubt, at the Hard Rock or the Palms. It's loud, noisy,
and it may even drown you rowdy party types out (maybe). Look into the
Bachelor Suites at the Palms -- they've got stripper poles next to the
bed. Amazing!"

We'd like accomodations at Harrah's and airfare out of New Orleans for
about 8 people, and rooms for another 3 or 4 people. 6 - 8 will be
arriving on 6/3/04, and the rest should arrive on 6/4/04. All
departing on 6/6/04.
CAN YOU STILL NAIL DOWN A FABULOUS DEAL ALONG THESE LINES?
I hope to hear from you very soon!
