Question ID: 345521
Is there an ODBC, ADO, or ADO.NET driver available that would allow an
external program to access Clarion .DAT files, and if so, where may I
obtain it? (Clarion is a database development environment. The .DAT
format is an older Clarion table format that goes back to Clarion for
DOS. I know there's a driver for .TPS files (another Clarion format),
but I need one for .DAT files.)

Just to clarify for newjackhustler, I don't just want to extract the
data (using Perl or some other language) and dump it somewhere. I want
an ODBC, ADO, or ADO.NET driver that would allow me to query for
records directly. I would also add that I only need read-only access.

Upping the price to $50.

Also, I'm aware that there are toolkits available for developing a
driver if one writes the low-level access code. However, I'm looking
for an already completed driver.

Do you mean you can write some DBD::DAT or DBD::TPS driver? I'm
interested in working with TPS from Perl. Will you use ODBC (should I
install Topspeed ODBC driver) to use your module?
