Yes, this certainly can happen. In the body it is by Acetyl-CoA (enzymatic), but you could synthesize the molecule using a simple fischer esterification with an acid catalyst. Hope that helps! |

I forgot to mention, you'd also have to heat the rxn up to make it go faster, and the by-product is water. |

Thanks, I am not sure if I see a way to send the $5 to you, through answers.google.com, looks as if it's 'expired ?' ... Happy to hear that, in a way. I was reading something from Hobson where he said during REM - the brain is flooded with ACH, and oddly Seretonin is nowhere to be found. Curiously, I was thinking, ok, here is choline, or bitrartrate from local health food store, and here is vinegar, with Acetyc acid, anyway... I did indeed ponder if loading up on Choline might enhance dreaming, and I have found systematically that lecithin, although typically 80% less choline than by extraction, it has some 10 fold absorption. Regardless, I'll have to explore this a bit more now. Worst case scenario, dream state will be a bit too realistic. Strangest experience I had with it was 4 layers to dreaming, each time I awoke, I was convinced THAT was the wake state, up to the last. I pondered that experience for some time. :) |
