My Digilux 2 works fine with 64mb, 128 mb and 256 mb memory cards but
when I use a 512 mb card, the pictures transferred to my computer,
through a card reader, are corrupted, unviewable and unusable. They
seem fine in the camera and can be reviewed. The card seems fine
since it works well in my Palm PDA with an SD card slot. I can't seem
to find information from Leica or in photo forums but then, I am not a
skilled researcher. I need a definative answer to this.

Yes, the Leica Digilux 2 should be able to use a 512 MB SD card. Here
are some digital photography websites where the authors have used 512
MB cards with their Digilux 2:

(used 512MB SD from Simpletech and SanDisk)

(reviewer reported using 512MB card)

It seems awfully strange that your 512MB card would work fine in your
PDA but not in the camera, but you should try a different brand of
card and see if that works.

Thank you for your quick answer which I will rate 5 stars. However,
can you possibly find confirmation on an official Leica site of the
fact the 512mb card can be used. Seems like it would exist in spec
sheets, list of specifications, etc. If you can, this would be greatly
appreciated. Steven

Sorry, I wasn't able to find any Leica specs that specifically
indicated you could use 512MB SD, and that's why I sought out
reputable sources that successfully used this storage with this
camera. (There's also a Steve's Digicams article that uses this
combination).
