I have a Dell PowerEdge 4400 running Windows 2000 Server with all the latest and greatest patches, firware and BIOS updates. I can't figure out how to get it to see my ADIC FastStor DLT tape library using the SCSI cable that came with it. The only thing that happens when I plug it in, is that Windows loses the ability to see the built-in single DLT tape drive. |

usually scsi devices have either a dial or dipswitches to change the scsi address of the device upto 7 (or in more modern devices you can change it through the keypad) since i do not know what kind of device you have I can't give you any advice on where it is in yours also do not forget to terminate the external and internale scsi bus (if not done automatically) and see if you need to open the external scsi port |
