1/(x+2) = (x+2)^(-1) = sum[(-1Ck)(x^k)(2^(-1-k))] use (-1Ck) = (-1)^k (kCk) = (-1)^k: 1/(x+2) = sum[(-1)^k (x^k)(2^(-1-k))] so, by expanding: 1/(x+2) = 1/2 - x/4 + x^2/8 - x^3/16 (and so forth...) |
