MGI VideoWave is a great program with built-in news-like animations
and graphics it also has a chroma key technology witch allows you to
take out the backround of your video if you put a solid color sheet or
board behind you, like green screen effects in the movies and news.
Another great program is Pinacle Systems video studio, it however
doesn't have any chroma key technology. And if your a pro, advanced
user with a big wallet look to Adobe with thier line of software.

Hope i answered your question!

Here is a really REALLY simple way to add animation to your videos.
make your animations in PowerPoint or Keynote (Apple's presentation
software). You can make animated titles, make stills move in, out
fade, etc. Then save the powerPoint as a MOV. That is a Quicktime
video file that you can add to your video using QuickTime pro (cheap
basic video editor http://www.apple.com/quicktime). Or if you are more
adventurous, take your video and your new MOV file into Premier, Final
Cut -- or any video editor that imports QuickTime. Fun, huh?

Try the sofware from bauhaus software. It is a complete 2d animation
and video effects package. You can do pretty much anything a
hollywood studio is capable of. I believe they have a 30 day fully
functional demo version. www.bauhaussoftware.com
