In the old days of Internet explorer, while it loaded up I could press ALT+D and start typing in the address I wanted to go to and press enter. When it finished booting up it would go there. But in version 6 (and 5), it resets the cursor to the beginning of the address field part way through the load. Any way to turn this annoying "feature" off? Since you guys are the websearching experts, thought you may have a tip. | |

My browser loads quicker than I can blink, so I can't even tell the 'feature' exists. |

I have the Address toolbar on in my taskbar, so if I want to go to a site while IE is not yet running I just type it in there and it loads and goes right to the page I want. |

You could also do: Start / Run and type the address in the window, with the http:// , and as long as IE is set as your default browser, you will be taken to the page you want. |
