A friend of mine is looking for a story she remembers reading, but
can't remember where she read it. It was a Native American folk tale
about a tick that attaches itself to a man and begins to drain his
blood, growing larger and larger. The elders of the village remove it
somehow.

I need the full text of the tale or where I can find it.
