There is a Lord in England named Lord Normanton. He owns a home
called Somerly. He may race so-called "cigarette" boats, high speed
powerboats. Apparently he was at some time or has been involved in a
boating accident. I would like to see any published details about
this acident, such as when, where, injuries to the Lord, etc.

I am not attempting to look into "involvement" in any legal sense. I
have heard only that Normanton was injured, and would like to know
more about the injuries and the accident in general. Feel free to
omit any material as to legal responsibility. This is not a legal
query.

Lord Normanton is an ardent copmetitive speed boat racer. A recent
article makes only the briefest mention of an accident about 20 years
ago in which Lord Normanton was severely interested.

I have not been able to find newspaper accounts of the original
accident, however.

Let me know if you'd like me to post the small bit of info I have
found as an answer to your question. If not, though, please let me
know how you would like researchers to proceed on this.

Thanks.

I guess anything is better than nothing, but somehow I had the
impression there was some more recent injury. I assume your word
"interested" was meant to be "injured". Any articles on Normanton in
general that are recent withing the last few years might be helpful
for background. A bio would be good.
