I am trying to open a new law practice in Los Angeles.
I need to know, as best as possible, what it costs in dollar terms
to do that these days. Can you help me find out what my start up cost
will be? I have tried "law practice start up" and "start up costs of a
law practice" in google. It refers me to a book by Foonberg...but I
don't want to buy a book....I just want to know the start up cost.

This link provides a method of calculating your expenses, then
suggests you save up at least six months' worth of expenses before you
start:

Well...we're almost there...but we need some hard numbers.....There's
got to be someone out there with hard numbers for such a venture...or
maybe something similar if not a law practice.

Searching on "law firm" and "start up costs" gives a bit more info:

(there's a PDF of this but it's not coming up for me)

According to these links, the standard range for start-up costs
appears to be from $25,000 to $50,000.
