I need to find a program for Windows that will detect if a device,
such as USB mouse is removed, and can report to a computer at our
front
desk about it, for use in a public environment, to cut down on theft
of hardware.
Preferably freeware, if it's a huge software suite costing $500 and
up, its not worth preventing a $40 mouse here and there get stolen.
And for extra challenge, I want to this without a windows domain /
active directory server. :)
