What is the answer to the riddle "... 11 brothers and sisters, 48
nieces and nephews ..."

Hi nrs, 

The complete riddle is:

"I have 11 brothers and sisters, 48 nieces and nephews, and 28
grandchildren. Who or what am I?"

The answer is February.

11 brothers and sisters are the remaining months of the year

48 nieces and nephews are the remaining weeks (exclude February: 52-4=48)

28 grandchildren are the days in February


Search strategy:
I'ver heard of this riddle before. I started thinking it could be a
person and that got me nowhere. I then thought of the numbers and how
they linked until I came up with the month of February.
