Dear yankee2,

On Malta, the currency is the Maltese Lira (Lm; plural: Liri). The
subdivision is the cent; 1 Lira has 100 cents. Each cent is again
divided into 10 mils.

As of 15 May 2004, 1.00 US-dollar equals 0.36 Lm. 1.00 Lm is 2.80 dollars.
