Have you tried contacting the Lincoln/Mercury manufacturers?
They should be able to either answer the question or direct you to
their advertising agency. The advertising agency should have the
details of the song, as they would have had to pay royalties to the
song owners/artists in order to use it for the campaign.

Thanks to all who responded to my inquiry.I am now armed with a lot of
good information,which I will put to use.
