i have a small crock, 3" high x 5.5" dia, it says LeGrue's Creamery
Since 1885 "Your butter and and egg man". How old might it be - is it
worth anything?

The pottery you are describing is exactly the same as the 2 I found for sale. 
 
Currently they are on auction at Ebay and the current bid is at $9.95.
 The pictures on Ebay are exactly the same as what you have.  Same
size and lettering.  You might try contacting the seller (same seller
for both pieces) and inquire about the age.

You are viewing a small Le Grue's Creamery crock. This piece stands
approximately 3" high and is 6 1/2" across. The front displays the
following ad: "Le Grue's Creamery  Since 1885  Your Butter and Egg
Man". Upon inspection I found a glaze split inside this crock and a
few places where the glaze skipped. Other than this, there are no
breaks, cracks, nicks, chips or repairs found. Your collection will
not be complete until you add this piece!
