Howdy cashindahat-ga,

A reminder of the: "Important Disclaimer: Answers and comments provided on

Because of the complexity of the process inherent to starting a hedge fund,
I will not even begin to quote at length the resources noted below. You
should read the references below in detail, and any documents they refer
to in detail as well.

The Green & Company, Inc. "Starting A Hedge Fund" page covers the subject
very nicely and provides valuable links on the laws, etc. involved.

"Are you ready to 'run' other people's money in a hedge fund? If you are,
there are many questions that must be answered. How do you set it up? Is
there any money in it for you? How much regulatory hassle will there be?"

If the hedge fund is to be over $25 million you will want to review this
page of theirs.

"The SEC has proposed significant new rules concerning hedge funds ..."

Their "home" page for hedge fund information is here.

"We are the hedge fund authority ..."

The Warrington College of Business at the University of Florida web site
has video clips of the lecture "How to Start Up a Hedge Fund" from January
of this year. The lecture was by Andrew Moed, who is a Partner at Kestan
Capital Management, a hedge fund. You will need Windows Media Player or
equivalent to view the video clips.

There are forums for discussing hedge funds, such as the Hedge Fund Center.

"Since 1996, the First Hedge Fund Knowledge Forum"

As one might suspect, there are also books on the subject. The Hedge Fund
Center has a page full of books on this and related subjects.

"Starting a Hedge Fund : A US Perspective" - Sarah Barham (editor)

A general outline of the process can be found on the MASTPartners web site.
