What is the formula for calculating "Games Back" in baseball
standings?  For instance in the current standings on MLB.com - how is
it determined Atlanta is 2.5 games out of first place?

 Philadelphia	19	15	0.559	-
  Florida	20	16	0.556	-
  Atlanta	17	18	0.486	2.5
  New York	17	20	0.459	3.5
  Montreal	12	25	0.324	8.5
