I have a follow up question to http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=312134 Where can I find a 45 rpm record entitled "Marianne", recorded by Burl Ives on Festival Records? It was also released on Coronet Records by Terry Gilkyson, and on London Records by The Hilltoppers, sometime in the mid-1950s. I would be happy to find any of these records, but the Burl Ives version would be my first choice. | |

Mr. Buffington, The GEMM web site shows three copies of the Burl Ives 45 rpm single for sale at prices ranging from $2.00 to $6.50. http://db6.gemm.com/ddc/search.pl?disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=IVES%2CBURL&title=MARIANNE The cheapest one is also from the seller with the best rating of the three. http://db5.gemm.com/ddc/search.pl?a_refno=GML24208172 GEMM also lists several copies of the Terry Gilkyson and Hilltoppers recordings. http://db4.gemm.com/ddc/search.pl?disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=GILKYSON%2CTERRY&title=MARIANNE http://db5.gemm.com/ddc/search.pl?disp_ad_format_mode=0&artist=HILLTOPPERS&title=MARIANNE Additional Links GEMM is not a dealer. It's a marketplace for "thousands of sellers around the world." http://www.gemm.com/ If you need any further information, please ask for a clarification. --efn |
