When trying to reinstall Adobe Acrobat 6.0 I get the following error
message: Error 1904, Module C:\Program Files\Adobe Acrobat
6.0\Acrobat\ActiveX\AcroIEHelper.dll failed to register. HRESULT
--2147352567. Contact your support personennel

I have contacted Adobe for help and gotten some. I found something
called Wintools.exe on my computer and finally removed it. However, I
still get the error message. I see this error 1904 a number of places
and assume it is Windows error but I do not see how to fix the problem
for my circumstances. Windows XP Home Edidtion

Some of your installed Acrobat files may be missing or corrupted. It
is also possible that part of your Acrobat installer may also be
corrupted. Try to get or download a new installer if possible.

Since you are reinstalling, when you uninstall, try to delete the
Adobe Acrobat 6 folder directly from the Program Files folder then
reinstall again. You may also want to restart after deleting the Adobe
Acrobat 6 folder but expect to receive error messages at startup. You
can ignore them then try to reinstall Acrobat. Please tell us if this
solves the problem.

I have uninstalled Acrobat 6 from "Add/Restore Programs" as well as
several other related Adobe Programs (Reader, Reader for the PDA etc).
I then got rid of Wintools, after talking with Adobe, and tried
reinstalling. Same probem.

BUT, I did not delete the Acrobat folder. I will try that
