Hi,
   I am just turning 25 and love music (hiphop to be precise) with
passion. I am thinking of doing something worthwhile with it i.e
making it a carrier.The thing is that I don't know where to start
from.I love dancing(go clubbing mainly to dance,but since it ain't
pop,I don't see a career there,rhyming(have two completed
songs,recorded in a studio),mixing mp3 with professional dj
softwares,and spending a lot of money on hiphop magazines e.t.c and
even time browsing websites for news e.t.c
           Please help

situation, and why you're confused on what you should do, but
everyone's answer will be different. It's an opinion and not a factual

I know there's no correct opinion,but a researcher who is versed in
that area(the industry) would be best in giving ADVICE.As I intend
making it a carrier,ways in which to sharpen any skills in a not too
expensive way would be considered helpful.i.e what's best to go
into,what's easy or how to know where my talent lies(an answer of
such).

as far as dance goes, i am a dancer with over 12 years professional experience
its a hard field if your not going to be a back up dancer for a pop artist
but trust me with some hard work backed up with a burning desire its
possible to succeed

here are my words of advice *********

evaluate what does success mean to you? beacuse maybe you want to be
able to  teach young people the vaule of hiphop art on the weekends,
maybe you want to find your nitch rocking out bar mizvahs during your
spare time, or win local underground contest.

if not *******

try this, right down all your passions for hiphop, (DJ,Rap, Dance, Art)
then rate them in oder of what your the most skilled at or most experienced doing

when you find that answer,
find a role model or mentor or someone that has succsess in your
chosen field of hiphop, you don't need to know them personally, just
pick them based on how you realte to there success, (you might pick
more then one)
 
research how they made it work out for them, then you would have a
nice outlie for a carrier path

also i would allways keep your day job! while working on your new carrier
remember if your not going in it %100 you can for get about it, becasue its not easy
