Hello all researchers and commenters,

We are planning to start an e-business, we see that there is a great chance to
earn some money selling some e-products and services.
But we are at the very beginning and do not know what to sell at this time.
We are ready to buy reselling rights on some products that have great demand
and could be sold good.
We need a little list of hot-selling e-products and e-services. No matter
wether those are e-books or marketing services.
We need just a list of 10-20 easy to obtain and resell products.

Thank you everybody in advance!

Hi there!

By "e-products", are you referring to software and e-book type of
items, or any retail item that is sold online (e.g., computers,
chairs, etc.)?

Thanks

Clarification of Question by baldoni-ga on 25 Apr 2002 23:14 PDT
Yes, i only mean products that can be sold ellectronically, and
doesn't need to be shipped. These may be software, e-books, some
intresting content or anything else.

Thanks, hope to have this question answered soon.

I must admit to being confused. You say you want a list of 10 - 20
easy to obtain products that *don't need to be shipped*?

What about products that you can sell without carrying an inventory?
Things that *someone else* handles shipping for?

Clarification of Question by baldoni-ga on 26 Apr 2002 11:27 PDT
I am sorry for making you confused.
I mean only electronic products and services.
For example - email lists for advertisers, e-books (as i have already
said), web design and hosting (thanks to commenters) etc.
I don't want to handle with physical goods like computers, their
components and so on.

Thank you.

Greetings from Google!

You asked for a list of 10 - 20 resellable internet products. Please
remember that most internet companies are not profitable. I would
strong caution you to not be misled by all the get rick quick schemes
you see on the internet. There really is no such thing as a get rich
quick scheme. Be especially on the look out for pyramid schemes such
as internet services with commissions and "downlines." If, despite all
the risks mentioned above, you would still like to look at some of
these products, I have provided a list below.

The most popular resellable product would have to internet services:

CNW.com offers resellable ISDN internet service for $200 a month (plus
setup fees)
http://www.home.cnw.com/dedline.html

Digiverge.net offers resellable dialup (modem) internet access for
$12.95
http://digiverge.net/dialup/

inch.com has resellable frame relay internet access service (T1 and
lower) for varying pricies.
http://www.inch.com/info/commercial.html

landoflakes.com offers resellable DSL internet access for varying
prices:
http://www.landoflakes.com/content/Business_DSL.htm

Another popular service is web hosting.

Cedant.com offers resellable local webhosting from $29.95 a month
http://www.cedant.com/services/resellers/plans.html

Fleebo.com also offers webhosting for the same price as below.
http://www.fleebo.com/pro.html

Then there are the so-called "e-products." These are usually
resellable software and "e-books," but unfortunately, most of these
products operate on much of the same principles as a pyramid scheme.
That is, the customers of the sellers usually want to be sellers as
well.

Resale-rights-business.com has products such as the pop up code
generator available for reselling rights.
http://www.resale-rights-business.com/popupsoftware/

Resale-rights-business.com also has many other e-products with resale
rights:
http://resale-rights-business.com/index.html

Resalerights.com has a resellable package of "ebooks," which you can
then sell to others at equally exaggerated prices.
http://www.resalerights.com/profit/

ebookathon.com has an inventory of free and for sale ebooks that all
are resellable. Good place to look if you're interested in ebooks.
http://www.ebookathon.com

Finally, there are the "affiliate programs." These are groups of
websites which provide commission-based returns to its members, based
on referrals. It is an important aspect of internet marketing. A
comprehensive list of affiliate programs are available here:
http://www.associate-it.com/

In addition, onlinebusinessbasics.com has an article with tips on
starting your own internet business, with more links to resellable
products.
http://www.onlinebusinessbasics.com/articles/opportunities.html

Search Strategy:

resellable internet products
resellable internet services
resellable web hosting
resellable software

I hope this helps! Let me know if you need any clarifications on any
of the above information. Best of luck to you on your internet
venture.

Best Regards,
blader-ga

First of all, the only business making real money on the net are
actually sex and gambling (casinos, bets etc...)
There are another products/services which can give you a good
opportunity, you can resell them:

Hosting
Web-design
e-books
Marketing (search engine optimization and promotion)
Marketing (newsletter , databases etc...)
Affiliate programs

Good Luck, you will need it !!!

A previous poster mentioned web hosting as a possibility, here are
some thoughts on that: I run a web hosting business that offers
inexpensive web hosting that is geared to people, not businesses. This
works out great because the sites we host don't get much traffic and
since we are dealing with only one person per site, the support is
kept to a minimum.

I'd recommend this business to anyone as a good way to make money
online. There are a few caveats, however.

1 - You have to have someone who knows the technical aspects.
2 - You probably won't strike it rich. We make okay money, but not
enough to retire to Costa Rica anytime soon.

I think we have been successful because we found a niche market of
people to offer our services to, any time you can do that it helps
your business. Just make sure you pick a big enough niche!

A couple more items and links:

The answer that you are looking for may depend on what types of profit
margins you are hoping to get. There are a number of e-tailers who
work on very slim margins (e.g., http://www.buy.com ), and those that
have gone after the higher margin items (e.g., Blue Nile:
http://www.bluenile.com, Ashford.com: http://www.ashford.com/, and Red
Envelope: http://www.redenvelope.com ).

What's hot right now? Amazon.com, has a Top Sellers category that
lists their most popular items (
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/new-for-you/top-sellers/-/main/ref=gw_subnav_ts/002-3619827-5698455
). It's a start to get a grasp of what people are buying and where
they are putting their money.

Hot items include (in no particular order):
1) Handhelds Compaq Ipaq handheld device (IDC Report on 1Q02: (
http://www.idc.com/getdoc.jhtml?containerId=pr2002_04_22_114258 )
2) Prosumer (pro/consumer) digital cameras (

3) DVDs ( http://xtramsn.co.nz/technology/0,,7937-1340989,00.html ), (
http://www.emedialive.com/news/indices/fff.html )
4) Wireless products (wireless modems and PC cards, phones with
multimedia)
5) Broadband wireless services (e.g., http://www.boingo.com , ATT
Wireless, Cingular)
6) Customer Relationship Managment(CRM) software services is expected
to be a $45B market by 2006 (
