Question ID: 347855
I am looking for shirts made by a company called Atlantic Connection.
I used to buy shirts made by this designer in a store in Tampa, Fl.
but they are no longer in business. The label on the shirts say
Atlantic Connection Paris New York. Can you help me?

Request for Question Clarification by bobbie7-ga on 17 May 2004 16:06 PDT
Were the shirts made by Atlantic Connection made of leather?

Thanks,
Bobbie7

No, they were not made of leather. I did find an online store that
had them about two years ago that was in the Village in New York but I
didn't keep their address and they don't come up now on any of my
searches.

Dear likker,

I'm glad I found the answer to your question even though it wasn't the
answer you were expecting.

To make it official I am reposting the information in the answer box.

---------------------------------------------------------

I called a company in New York called Atlantic Connection Inc. and
they said that they were selling shirts to a store in Tampa that is
now closed. They also told me that the Atlantic Connection line is now
called Transaction and that they make leather products.

I would suggest that you get in touch with Atlantic Connection at
212-563-6866 and describe the type of shirt you need. They can give
you the names of retail stores in your area that carry that shirt.

ATLANTIC CONNECTION, INC
NEW YORK (NY)
Tel: 212 563 6866
Fax: 212 563 6887

They mentioned that their products are available at Vogue Italia in Florida.

Vogue Italia
300 S.W. 1st Ave.
Las Olas Riverfront
Fort Lauderdale, FL
Phone: 954/527-4568

Vogue Italia is packed with trendy fashions by D&G, Ferre, Versus,
Moschino, Iceberg and more at wholesale prices.

You found it. Good work. Sad to say, they're out of business, at
least the shirt business. They were the most unique shirt designers
in the US in the nineties but foreign competition and price
competition apparently drove them out of business as it did most of
the unique non-franchise men's stores. Again, thanks for the good
work, though I'm disappointed to find them gone.
