Dear Ramble,

"Remembering" search terms is not unique to Google.

The commentator presented one way, in which you could see your
previous searches on Google:

(1) You download the Google Toolbar <http://toolbar.google.com/>,
which is the way described in the comment. This is a tool that does
much more than just remembering your past search terms. However, in
any case, you could see after the download the search terms on the
left side of the page; in a roll-down menu; next to the "Google"
symbol.

(2) Internet Explorer users (as well as users of other browsers) could
have the browser remembering their search terms, or anything else they
feel in online:
- Go to tools
- Go to Internet Options
- Go to "Content" - fourth category from left
- Choose "Auto Complete"
- Check the options that you want to be shown. In your case, "forms".
- You coudl erase your search history in the same way, using the
"clear form" and "clear passwords" categories.

I hope this answered your question.

If you download the google
toolbar you get a nifty search history which you can clear on
demand, as well as a popup blocker and other neat features.
