I am 38 years old. I have not had any serious health issuses. I am not in perfect shape but average. My height is 5'10" around 210 lbs. I see a doctor yearly for a Physical and the only issue he finds is my apparent Casual alchohol consumption. I recently have been expieriencing to me a severe Throbbing/ Itching Pain in my Feet and Hands , Mostly my Feet. Now here is the strange part of it. It only seems to happen when I am taking a Shower. I do not take long showers and they are not very Hot. After about 10 minutes in the shower I have to rush as I feel the Throbbing sensation starting . It also seems to happen more often If I shower later in the morning after I have been up for a while. I have woken up early and jumped right into the shower and it seems to help.. Strange isnt it...? I hope that someone can spread some light onto this Subject pryor to me trying to explain this to my Physician. |

If this pain is on the skin, one would consider allergy to any soap or shampoo used during the shower, as it all runs down to your feet when washed off, and likely is in contact with the skin for a longer duration of time. All the normal signs of inflamation would present: heat, redness, irritation, rash, etc. |

Unfortunetly no it is not. It is a Pain I feel within my Feet. Muscles ache.. I elevate my feet to get some relief. I do not notice any swelling assosiated with the pain. It is a throbbing Itchy feeling... I have not changed from my regular Shampoo or soap.. It isnt a reaction of the skin. It still happens if I just stand in shower without washing. ( Say for the relaxing affect ) |

I don't know. Do you get a similar sesation if you stand bare footed on a different hard surface for ten minutes? If not it may be the texture of the shower floor = tiles? 10 or 20 pounds less body weight and/or some exersizes which strengthen your feet may help. I find going barefooted in the house and car and wearing slaps other places has helped several of my foot problems. Neil |

Have you been checked for diabetes? If not you should be checked. It is a simple test. What you describe sounds like neuropathy. According to your description you are slightly overweight. I would check with my Doctor. Diabetes is a silent killer. It will sneak up on you. It happened to me. It is not much fun. Catch it early. |
