Greetings. I am looking for someone to compile for me a table of the
50 US states along with the status of their stance re: predatory
lending in mortgages. The Mortgage Bankers Association has page
dedicated to this topic at
http://www.mortgagebankers.org/resources/predlend/index.html

I need a table with each state categorized like this:
* passed legislation
* legislation is pending
* no legislation re: predatory lending

thanks

I suspect that "predatory lending" is too imprecise a term to be able
to say for sure which states have or don't have predatory lending laws
in place. Sure, some laws include the term right in the title, but
many others may not, but still deal with the topic.

Can you offer any guidance to researchers as to how they would know
whether a state has/doesn't have a predatory lending law?

Thanks. I'm using the definition that the Mortgage Bankers Association
uses. Any researcher who wants to take this question just needs to go
to the link I provided and compile a list for me based on the
information provided there.
