I have a travel trailer with a GVWR of 7000 pounds. I want to tow it up Wolf Creek Pass in Colorado (about 11,000 feet, grade over 6% I think). I don't mind going slow, but I want to get up. How much torque does the engine of the tow vehicle need? Will I need a turbo diesel, or is there a standard gas engine that can tow uphill at that altitude? |

Excellent Question! Just as my more than obvious statements - a GVW of 7k lbs is about equal to pulling 2 full size cars up the 6% grade. Ken |
